About the Owner

By the Ash Tree Consulting, LLC was founded to provide the Central Valley residents with experts in tree care. Based out of Fresno, we strive to keep Fresno's large population of trees healthy and advise their owners on how to get the most out of them. The founder, Ian Ashby, has dedicated his life to service to better his community and improve people's lives. Prior to becoming an Arborist, Ian served his community as a Paramedic on an ambulance, a Wilderness Ranger and Wildland Firefighter. He spent many years as a Project Manager for a State Resource Conservation District that helped people recover from the devastating Creek Fire 2020 and helped people manage their landscapes to reduce wildfire risk. He has also enjoyed being a nature educator for adults and youth. He holds an Associates Degree in Natural Resources from Reedley College and is constantly involved in continuing education and certification pursuits. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for Tree Fresno. Trees and the benefits of nature during these experiences led him to become an expert in trees to help others gain the benefits he received from them.
